Hi
I had my eyes lasered using PRK surgery at Finchley Road in 2001. My presciption (trying to remember) was around -4 on both eyes. This was 8 years ago and have to say apart from the odd day of dry eye best thing I ever done. However I am due for an eye test tomorrow because I know that my eye site is not getting worse again distance. A friend has glasses and has -1.25 and just putting these on really sharpened up eye site. The thought I wearing glasses again is just horrible, I did wear contacts but due to the having dry eyes occasionally and working in an air conditioned office I don't think this is a good idea.
My questions is has anyone had retreatment after this kind of period and what treatment would they offer now. I have called Optimax and have to say they skirted round how much I would have to pay if having retreatment but got the impression it would be the full amount. When having the surgery I was advised this would be permenant if it worked and that the only time I would need glasses would be for reading.
Anybody had the same experience?
Thanks
