Hi to everyone who is thinking of having the surgery. I had my treatment on 18 June. The actual treatment has been completely painless. As the anesthetic wore off there was slight burning sensation - nothing major at all. The vision was blurry for the whole evening. I slept comfortably!! VERY Dry eyes when I needed to get up in the middle of the night. Still pain free in the morning, no streaming of or redness of the eyes.

Next day appointment was satisfactory - 20/20 in my left eye.

Inflammation on my left eye so was asked to continue with the drops - hourly - vision has detiarated since, but have been told that once the inflammation has gone and then eye drops stop the vision will come back!!! Morning vision is worse but then as the day goes the vision improves a little and still not perfect. The difference of the left eye vision and the right eye is a little too much but I am hoping when the vision is corrected to what it should be then I shall be happier. I am getting a little impatient now and can't wait for it all to be right!!

I'm in a similar position. Had my treatment on 24th. My vision is still poor. I'm getting impaitent now as had a check and they have said that my eyes are healing and my inflammation in my left eye has gone and to reduce my steroid drops back to 1 every 2 hours and reduce from wed as planned. But i can't even drive as my vision is so poor. My prescription before was -3,25 right and -3.75 left.
I have another check on Fri so ingers crossed but i'm not hopeful.
Let me know how your getting on

hi Thomas, Did you also have a monovision treatment? and where did you have the surgery?
Well I had my checkup yesterday. had the check up with yet another optometrist - wish they would keep to the same one!! Anyway the optometrist yesterday was happy with the progress (surprise - surprise)and then I met the surgeon Dr Boezart. He too was happy with the progress. I now am not going to be using the red drops anymore. they gave an ointment gel for the night and soothies drops to use during the day. these drops will help the dryness which is effecting the vision to progress. I did leave Optimax very hopeful - I too can't wait for a perfect vision!!!
Good luck.

Sounds like you are making progress. Fingers crossed for you. I'm back on Friday. So we'll see. But i can't copewith this vision much longer. I'm struggling with the keyboard the screen and number plates!!!
