My experience so far......DAY 1 Well I had my appointment on the 28th for all the various tests to see if I was suitable, (in Bristol) The staff are lovely and it was very busy - which I took as a good sign! After having my eyes checked for suitability etc and a chat with the doctor who performs the surgery I decided to go fot it and have it done that afternoon. I wasnt nervous until I sat in the chair wearing my sexy blue hat and thought what am I actually doing but hey ho lets go for it. I had Epi-Lasek, its not as bad as i thought no pain just weird, and over so quick!!! Anyway I practically skipped out all smiles and travelled home with my boyfriend. Then the pain started, and I just wanted to close my eyes, still it was bearable and worth it. Straight home to bed, and then I slept slept slept DAY 2 Couldnt watch TV and eyesight so blurred but still not complaining DAY 3 Went shopping, in dark glasses and then came home to rest DAY 4 Feel great, eyes no longer red didnt need sun glasses too much and spent the day out and about, Im having the lenses out tomorrow so hopefully will be able to see more - still blurry (but ok to watch TV/read and use the computer so not too bad) So far its all worth it will let you know how I am after the lenses are removed oh and if you want it done in the next 2 weeks try ebay as optimax have some very good offers on there I had mine done for 395 per eye!!!

Me againDay 4 Removal of the contact bandages Feel great today no red/dry eyes no pain very little blur went to Bristol for the removal, which was so easy a few drops and then it was like a normal lense being removed, had eyes tested and at driving level already so really pleased. ( I was about - 4.5 and - 4.75 with astig) Carried on the rest of the day as normal. I was informed though that my level of pain (very little) isnt normal and not to disillusion people thinking about epi-lasek - as it is normally very painful. In my opinion enough people say its painful so it should be a nice change for people to read a pleasant experience. Plus if it was so good for me who says it cant be for you??? Day 5 Back in work today - so strange to wake up and be able to see everything, not to feel around for the alarm clock or pat the wall for the light switch. Using the computers are fine, and I can see everything. I have no haze and no ghosting, fingers crossed it will stay this way now. I would recommend this procedure to everyone, although make sure you read everything on the consent form. Optimax has been brilliant all the way and I have had contact details if I have any problems and all the eye drops I need. Couldnt of asked for more!!! I wont blog my progress for a while, but will let you know how I am getting on. If there is anyone who wants to know more or has any questions by all means contact me.
