Everything went well and I already have driving standard vision - although one eye is still a bit swollen and not doing as well as the other one I was told at my 24hr aftercare appt that I should have a similar result in both eyes once everything has settled down.
I have gone from -5 and -6 short sight to being able to read car numberplates across the road after 2 days ! I cannot ever remember seeing clearly without glasses / lenses as I have been wearing specs since I was 7 years old. I can see better with my right eye now than I could with lenses ! I am aware that it will take several months for everything to settle down but am so happy with the initial results.
The staff in Ipswich were friendly, helpful and understood my nervousness. I must commend them as well as the fantastic surgeon - Dr Almasri - who has given me back my sight !
The only person having problems with my new sight is my husband - who does not apreciate being woken at 5.45am so I can excitedly tell him the time on the bedroom clock - because this is the first time I have ever been able to see it myself !
I am nervous about straining my eyes too much so am being careful and following all the advice I was given about aftercare but am fortunate to have had a great result so far.

And sure enough it has - I have gone from -4.5 in my right & -5 in my left to 20/20 in both eyes.
I'm very happy with the results!!!
