| Hello guys my glasses that i wear now only just allow me to read the driving distance on the border line. but i do not drive. This is still bad because when i wear my glasses, i struggle a hell of a lot. am a student (19) - (20 in july) and i struggle with Seeing the board in lessons - which is effecting my education Catching buses a result in missing a bus as it has to come so close before i can read it then i miss it In work i have actually had to leave 2 jobs because i cannot read the pallets on the top racking in a warehouse. Seeing people in the streets they think i am ignorant as i dont recognise them.
Basically these are my main problems, now i NEED HELP, and i dont know what to do. i CANNOT get a stronger perscription from my opticians. and i have wanted laser surgery since 16/17. Now how will laser eye surgery help me? if it will? - as i am desperate for help as i have struggled enuf with everything day to day things. Even if laser eye surgery doesnt give me 6/6 i need somthing done to me to prevent me from missing buses / struggling in education / sturgling in work. ect..... does anybody have any advice for me please? thankyou

| Optimax need to know if you have had a stable prescription two years as you are still young, it needs to be stable in order to treat. If this is the case then there could be a possiblity, but it down to the doctors final say so. Where are you in the UK, I can inform you of your nearest clinic. | Hi There, If your prescription cannot be corrected with glasses then laser eye sugery will not be a magic fix. Its possible it might help, or you may be a good candidate for Implantable Lenses. However to really know the answer to these questions you would need to see a doctor for consultation. Also our minimum age for treatment is 21 and as Emma says you really need to be able to demonstrate a stable prescription too. If you speak to our customer services team then they would be able to help you further - 08750 14 33 14 thanks Nick
