I had LASIK + intralase at Glasgow 2 weeks ago. The operation went really well but as predicted I suffer dry eyes which can burn at times though I use Refresh ophthalmic drops 6 a day as recommended. I use computers a lot. I read about VisMed preservative-free eye drops, which contain sodium hyaluronate, a natural jelly which helps these drops work longer. Would it be safe to switch to VisMed instead of Refresh? I would appreciate some advice from Optimax nationally or the Glasgow clinic.

The Doctor at the Glasgow clinic has confirmed that you can use VisMed for your dry eyes.

Kind regards

Nina

Thank you, my operation went really well apart from dry eyes. Recently I ran out of VisMed and went back to Refresh which are easier to buy, but today I am going out to buy more VisMed. They have really been a "lifesaver" to me and work much better with my dry eyes.
