I had laser correction at Optimax over 10 years ago for moderate short sight. I visited my optician last week and am pleased to say my eyes are still completely healthy and I have near perfect eyesight! Hopefully this may help all those who wonder about the long term effects of laser correction.

I would highly recommend Optimax as they are unsurpassed in their experience and professionalism. I am genuinely impressed that Optimax managed such successful treatment over a decade ago. Still healthy and no glasses!

I also had treatment for very mild short-sightedness (-1.25 and -0.75) about 10 years ago.  About 2 years ago  I noticed my eyesight was deteriorating and went for an eye test.

The optician couldn't tell I had been treated and my eyes were/are healthy.

I don't regret having the treatment, however, I wouldn't consider it again.

So... no ill effects 10 years on. My prescription now is -1.25 and -1.75

It's great to hear that you have had the success stories you have, however, it is important for people to realise that this is not always the case.

I had my surgery (cost £1,800) two years ago and at the time it was great with 20:20 vision the following week.

I was signed off at that point- no further correspondance or check-ups from Optimax and now my eye sight has deteriorated there is no support or aftercare after one year.

Please be aware that this proceedure does not have a lifetime guarantee and don't expect Optimax to be interested when it fails.

Trying to get your notes in order to go elsewhere is also a nightmare!!!
