On the 13th june, I had this treatment, and I was -5.5 in both eyes.  They did this procedure in 2 stages, they lasered the flaps, then I was put in a waiting room for nearly an hour, then i was took back in then my eyes were lasered.  I can see but everything is still not up to scratch, I am just under driving sstandard, and can't see so well close up.  I want to be reasurred that this procedure was o.k , and will my sight get better? I've heard it takes longer to get required vision, is this true?

Shell,

I can't comment on the actual procedure that you had because I had epi-lasek. All I can say from my experience is that I too wasn't processing as expected and didn't get my clearer vision for abour 3 months or so.

I still have lots of problems today but that doesn't mean that you will.

It would be nice if someone from Optimax could put your mind at ease.

Regards

Ian

Hello.

I had the same treatment as you:  Intralase & Wavefront-Lasik.

Everybodies eyes are different - thus the results and vision vary from person to person.  You should definately see considerable improvement within 4 days.  One thing Optimax's surgeons said to me was - Anxiety is bad for your recovery.  You are not far post-op - a couple of days.

In my experience - I had driving vision the next day. All depends on the patient.  I'm now 4 weeks post-op.  And I feel great!  You will feel so much more relaxed and confident.

Patience as Master Yoda says!

Hi all,

Thanks for the replies.  I am now 11 days post op and eyes are feeling great. There not as dry and vision is a lot better.  I am just left with a bit of white haze when I look at bright things, also white writing against dark backgrounds looks a bit hazy too.  I believe this is part of the healing process, and hopefully will subside.  On the whole it is a miracle, as I was as blind as a bat!
