| Hi, I am not sure if anyone can answer my question, but here goes. My daughter and son in law are both doctors, they have a friend who is an eye surgeon. He says that if you have laser eye surgery to correct short sightedness you are more likely to develop cateracts in the future and because you have had the laser surgery you will be unsuitable for surgery to correct the problem. Does anyone have an opinion on this or know anything about it? I am very keen to have the surgery, but not so keen if it may causes problems when I am older that I cant rectify.
