There is a possible treatment option that you may consider called Monovision.  The surgery will help remove the need for reading glasses as well as helping your distance vision.  It does depend on your prescription as to whether you are in range for the surgery, this will also determine the price.  Are you able to provide this please?

As for diabetes, we need to check whether this is type 1 or 2, whether you take insulin or if it is diet / tablet controlled and also if there are any signs of retinal damage or retinopathy.  Are you able to confirm this as well please?
